Well, I reformatted my computer. Don't worry, I THINK I backed up everything I needed - I certainly backed up DM. I've been installing all the important progs/drivers and stuff for about 2 hours now :( still going…

Anyway, my new program, Canvas: Mask Editor, will be up on the frontpage soonish. Please be gentle with it - its nowhere near complete, although it does work satisfactorily.

Things it includes:

outputing to a bmp file (duh)

changing the size of the screen (which doesn't work properly yet)

changing the size of the grid you want to work with

changing the colour of the background/drawing colour (the drawing colour reverts back to black when the image is created)

A few other bits and pieces

There really isn't much to it yet - I'd like to change it in future so that you can load in sprites to use as tiles - this way, it creates a huge image of the mask object, but it draws the tiles! (I don't know whether that will be too slow though… hmm)

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, Canvas is a program I designed specifically to create mask objects for large rooms. The program has a grid, and the drawing size matches the grid - and snaps. This way, you can use tilesets to create your level, then instead of going through the pain and suffering of trying to line up the mask in Photoshop or Paint, you can use this grid system to snap it just how you like! Hooray!

And if you have any other ideas for it, PLEASE let me know. Right now the program is kinda useless (excepting that specific function). Oh, and the buttons were made using Photoweb. Great program! Find it in the WIP section.

In other news, I modeled a female torso in 3DSMax today. It looks awesome, but I can't show you cos I didn't put it on my iPod… damn. I'll take a pici of it on monday. I'll probably be tossing it and doing it again though, cos my teacher keeps telling us to do things over and over and over and over etc. But she's hawt :P

Ergh, I've got to stop using sexual inuendo every time I make a comment. I feel like a slut… But then again, they did call for it.
