First off, today I helped my friend Element create a basic Tower Defense game in Game Maker. It's a work-in-progress, and it's currently stuck in the queue awaiting approval, but worth checking out nonetheless. More info on his blog HERE.
On to GT2D… I haven't been working on it the past week or so, due to school ending. But today I fired up GM and accomplished a few things. Most noticeable change would be the AI. Before today, the AI was downright atrocious in some cases. Well, thanks to the ever-so-helpful internet, I found a way to do car AI that doesn't completely suck balls. It's not flawless by any means, but it does it's job pretty damn well. I did work on the graphics slightly. I kept the improved asphalt texture, but reverted back to the older grass texture. Looks significantly better:
Tyre walls are made from tyres. Tyres are circular. Please correct this.
