I think I'm going to buy one, since my current PS3 is not backwards compatible.

Actually, I don't just think I'm going to buy one. I'm pretty committed to it when I get paid on the 15th, considering I just bought ~~5 PS2 games~~ 8 PS2 games on Amazon.

In other news, I'm considering getting an iPhone 4 for looking at hentai on that ridiculously high PPI screen it has. rofl not rly… k, maybe a little.

So yeah, since I'm getting a PS2, suggest me some good games will ya?

I agree Toast, it's pretty dumb considering you can upgrade to a 500 GB internal drive for less than $70.

New PS3s aren't backwards compatible. Only the original ones are.

Uh, yeah… that's the point, isn't it? That it's dumb for people to sell their original backwards-compatible PS3s to buy a newer one just because it has a bigger hard drive and/or looks different.

Yeah only the old PS3s are sold with 60GB.

Ah, I thought you assumed the new ones were. It sucks that all the ones on bay are fucking ridiculous monies. BOTH my PS2s are broken and I plan on getting a PS3 this summer, but not for $350.

If it hasn't been mentioned yet: Grand Theft Auto 3; GTA Vice City was OK too.

Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Ratchet and Clank, Katamari Damacy, and Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance are my favorite games for that console. Star Wars: Bounty Hunter is one of the better Star Wars games that's been released, for what that's worth, and I've heard great things about Beyond Good and Evil though I've never played it.
