Does this sound finished?

I have made this tune, and it's been sitting on the harddrive for quite some time. Recently, I got a friend to remake the guitar-part in the tune and so it's more or less finished. But does it sound good?

Sweet.mp3

Obvious room for improvement, or pretty much a wrap?

Goddammit, whenever i want to move away from writing synth music i hear something awesome like this and i get pulled back. ._<

and i was thinking it needed some crazy guitar so i was delighted when the solo kicked in.

Think you need to make the car crash noise at the start a little more cymbal-y if you know what I mean.

Can I chip in here: Oh man, that solo is awesome.

I'll take that as a yes.

Having listened to it over and over on and off for about six months have really taken all the steam out of the track for me, though I remember being really happy with it in it's early stages.

Overall, its pretty damn sweet. Excellent melodies and smooth composition. Not to mention the guitar solo is pretty badass.

My only complaint is at 0:43– it just doesn't work for me. I would say change the synth lick to agree with the secondary key but I'm not entirely sure that's all that's wrong with it. But this is just imo, do what you want. :D

The song reminded me of Hill Street Blues from the 80s. Good times.

Yea it sounds really 80's. Very authentic sounding if an 80's movie soundtrack kind of sound was what you were going for
