-basic enemy ai

-platforming physics / collisions

-damage / crit hits

Don't make the crosshairs follow in a step event; it looks sloppy. If you're going to do that, at least put it in the draw event too. If it were graphically necessary, that might be something else.

Also, I may have just missed it, so I'm going to take the blame. Do the enemies turn and shoot when you hit them in the back? If not, it might not be proper to call them AI. And if so, feel free to disregard that, of course.

Anyway, hope you have some pretty good perks to make a basic platform shooter more interesting than just that. Though, I'd thought you were the type of person who developed graphics for a game first.
