Hey everybody.
I'm building my design portfolio and I need your guys' help. All you need to do is provide me with a company, service, website, organization, game, or anything that needs a logo and/or website design. The 'organization' can be made up, but something that currently exists or something in the works would be ideal.Hopefully a more robust portfolio will attract more clients and in turn more monies! http://andysimondesign.com/
That's a good idea. I know a guy who gets paid to make posters for various corporations, and his most recent is the Navy. They pay him pretty well and he mostly just pulls photos off the web. So if he can do it, you can too.
I guess if you need a game, and if you don't mind my temporary ego, I could use a logo for one of mine, preferably Terminys. The one I have now is pretty simplistic anyway.Unless of course, you're looking for something a little more along its way. It doesn't matter to me.But good luck. Building a portfolio early is a great idea.I've found that designers are paid $80-$400 per logo (which is pretty good money for doing something I enjoy).
WIPs are definitely welcome! After some research, I'll come up with a few ideas you can pick from. Note to everybody: You don't actually have to use the designs I create :)I like your portfolio. But I still don't like the logo you put in front of the navigation items. It looks too random (I only see an 'E') and unfitting.
So how would people discover your portfolio, or how would you find your clients? The logo is supposed to spell out "&e" (Andy) or "de" (in design). It might be a bit contrived, but I like it. I'm still open to modifications, though.
I find clients through sites like craigslist, and post my portfolio on forums (like conceptart.org).The computer company I work for could stand a, uh, logo makeover:
Kewl beans.
If I can get ahold of her I know a lady who needs some Logo work.I've always been interested in new takes on the pyco logo seen on http://pycosites.com/
The one I have right now doesn't fit too well as a game startup logo.A computer company advertising speed that has the word "stop" (and a stop sign at that) in its name seemed a bit odd. I tried to emphasize the speed part of their service (with the arrow) while downplaying the stop sign symbol. I also integrated the letter "C" in the logo.
I was also thinking of some possible advertising slogans like "Stop problems. Start working." or maybe just "Start working."Still working on the other requests :)
