We can have them.
This is sparked by rambofoxes blog, which I will paraphrase here: I can't run vista, I've not used vista for any long period of time, and all my information comes from people who also haven't used it, but you should all agree with me and dislike vista. Now, I love my Vista OS, it does everything I need, and is far prettier than XP. It has no real drawbacks to using it, provided you're running a PC that can take it.People complained XP had too high specs after 2000, too, you know, there's even an XP-transformation pack, to give your 2000 the looks of XP (:D)I will not, however, force it down someone's throat. Some people like XP, they like the Luna style, they want their PC to run as fast as possible without going so far back nothing supports it, so they run good old XP. What I CAN'T stand, however, is people shoving their opinion into my head, I don't give a damn, ok? Neither does anyone else.I, personally, think Vista is one heck of a step forward. It's faster than XP with window management, thanks to the new 3D-accelerated graphics card driven desktop window manager, it's animations and graphical styles give a sense of simplicity and softness to the windows. But if you prefer XP, that's allright. Some people may remember my 'philosophy week', I think someone put it, where I realised it doesn't actually make any difference to me what people have on their PCs. Some people use internet explorer, I can't figure out why, but I won't shove my love of firefox up your nose. Some people love Linux, me included, but it's not something I can run, because it's a silly and hates me. The new edition of Ubuntu works fine with my networking card, and both the GNOME and KDE4 editions look, feel, and work great, but the kernel doesn't like my computer (if anyone knows why, do tell), but that's irrelevant. What I'm saying is, we at 64D have very little censorship, often to our own detriment (decompiler thing shook the site a tad…), so let's not go mad, else I'll start being a windows 3.1 fanboy, and yelling at everyone for using shitty OS'.
No, you're wrong.
No, he's right. The only people who really know about Vista are the ones who are patient enough to use it, rather than follow the bandwagon.
There's nothing special about the bandwagon. It's just composed of a bunch of stubborn people who think they know what they're talking about. He's also right about not trying to force people to share his opinion. That's what people do when they're unsure of themselves and feel they need to be backed up. It's insecure, it's silly, and it's a huge sign of inferiority to force an opinion.I agree with PY. Vista ftw. That's mac OS, I've no problem with you using mac OS, you're just fun to wind up :D
@Square, I see wut u did tharAlso, kilin is right.
Well I tried both vista and vista sp1 (still stick to XP though) and can say that it really improved a lot.
The best thing in sp1 ofcourse is software support. And it just feels not so 'retarted' anymore. But when it gets to working - there's nothing better then "good old XP"That’s what I think)Nononono, Josea, you're missing my point.
It's OK that you don't like vista, really! You've tried it, and didn't like it, that's my point. Be free in your XPiness, and tell me: Do you still use Luna?I'm using a nice black Luna-like theme.
Neat, I like dark themes :D
