[Rambopvp] Negligence and "Progress"

Posted by Rambopvp on March 3, 2010, 2:55 a.m.

So instead of spending time updating Grimoire I pumped out a bajillion pixels and made half a dozen half assed (and less than half operational (and with lots of bugs)) game engines which are so cringe-worthy that the only upside to them is that they make for awesome screenshots as long as I crop them deviously so that I can get people excited about them!

First off is a mockup of a title for an old project of mine:

Secondly here are a pair of "screenies" from a game inspired by the Left 4 Dead series featuring the most overpowered zombie of all time:

Third up are two screenies from two different incomplete "games" but are actually the same game but with different graphics upon hindsight:

So really I have made no progress at all. Nothing proper anyways. But I guess these random outbursts will suffice in tangible content.

Also I am well aware of grievances concerning Grimoire and its difficulty as well as lack of flexibility in the control scheme. I will fix this, in fact I probably already have but I want to create another level's worth of content before updating it so bear with me :)

Complete project FTW!

But you know, maybe your just not doing enough planning.

Do you write design documents?

I wanted to do a sequel for Ato and after writing a design document Knew I had to wait.

Now all of my other projects are moving nicely(at least the ones I wrote a design doc for.).

Read this stuff:

My design documents Don't read like these do but they help give a jump start at what you do and don't want to plan out.

Love your graphics - especially in the zombie game, for some reason.

Your backgrounds are very……. creative?

Anyhoo, your graphics do look nice. You probably should focus on one thing at a time though, eh? :D

@ ATOGAMES, thanks for the info it'll definately help me organizational-wise. However now that I think about it I do have an outline plan thingy written down for my main WIP, Grimoire. These other ones… they popped out somehow :P

Thing is game ideas come into my head everyday atleast once or twice, it's just a matter of picking which ones are most interesting and within my capabilities

@ Cesque, thx :D

@ Crane-ium, heh I realize all the backgrounds for these are grey… maybe I should do something about it O.O
