Here is the first issue of the unofficial 64digits magazine, 64DigitsInformer. We will bring you Review, Previews, Interviews, Debates, and more!Press F3 to search for the following contentsDue to lack of contribution from others…our first issue will be short.I. ReviewsII AnnouncementsI. ReviewsFirst Up…Zombeez. From: Kenon*Even though it's counted as a WIP Kenon has stated he doesn't plan on continuing this game.->First of all. Kenon has something pretty cool with Zombeez. I love the control method used for killing the little buggers. It can be a little buggy every now and then…but no complaints here. As things get harder, the kills become more satisfying. Especially when you barely get one right before he tries to take out a chunk of your health. The graphics are smooth and chibi, which is perfect. Sure the game isn't a deep epic adventure…but, it's not supposed to be. All in all…This game gets a…8/10 (Could be better, but it does what it's supposed to…and it's fun. Good game.)Radian.From: JabberwockThis game is pretty addicting. Jabberwock compiles simple yet smart graphics, Interesting gameplay, and powerups you'll love…Radian seems just like those great arcade games your grandad played. And now you'll know why. It takes some getting used to…but when you finally get a feel of the controls and your own speed…you'll be taking out enemies like a pro. Which is good…because the simple graphics are great when something blows up. Everything's smartly done, and it's a good game…All in all..This game gets a…8.25/10 (8) (It's fun…simple…and easy to just sit down and play, which is good…but other than shooting…there's nothing else to do…it'd be nicer if you could have levels to get to…but it's okay. It's still a good game.)And finally…Game Of The WeekVaria. From:KairosThis is the game of the week for a reason. It looks like it could be sold! Everything is proffesionally done. The graphics are beautiful for Gamemaker, and the gameplay is smooth. Even on my crappy computer the game ran basicly smoothly. The variaty of enemies are interesting and everything comes together perfectly. My only complaint is even a little bit of lag will mess you up extremely. Same goes for if you accidently miss an arrow key, then all the bullets you were about to dodge seem to hit you without you having a chance of getting out. That makes you lose your lives go by faster. All in all…This game gets a…9.5 (9) (It's fun…and beautiful, but a bit to perfectionast for me. Had fun with it though!)II. Announcementsi. Kenon announces he does not plan on contining work on Zombeez (8)ii. jsorgeagames announces that his Halo Engine is getting better, check out the screen on his page, http://64digits.com/users/index.php?userid=jsorgeagames&cmd=comments&id=21496iii.desertfox announces the friend badges need to be redone. You forget something…the new interest sweeping the sunny land of 64Digits.
Well, that was unnecessary.
@flashback: Good point. This must be a personal reminder! Yaaay memos!
This reminds me a lot of Living Spiral, of whom I haven't seen for a good while now.=/
Mind saying a bit about Teleka next issue? I'll tell you things nobody else knows so it'll be useful info. PM me, we'll discuss it over breakfast.
No offence meant personally, but this was terrible. If there is going to be any form of magazine, it'd probably be better if 64D
a) Collect a group of journalistsb) Wrote it themselves. As for unnoficial, at least get a better logo, and a sense of humor…I kinda liked it, but it should definitely have more content and a better logo.
You could have people PM you on things to write. My name was in there! Yay! =)
