I've been unable to upload the projects I mentioned a couple posts ago; they're probably too big. So instead, I got my current project into a state that I could upload it as a WIP here. It's a puzzle game a la Sokoban or Chip's Challenge- a maze with blocks and doors and stuff.
I ended up flipping the camera and everything (like I mentioned one post ago), and it's beautiful to work with now. The room editor matches up perfectly again, the coordinate system is sane, and depth is sorted by distance to the camera. It's time to start making real content. So, if/when it shows up, have a look. At the moment it's just a tutorial level and the test room I'd been working with, but it looks kind of shiny. It still needs textures and sound and a story but otherwise, it's pretty much just level design using the objects that exist both in the uploaded levels and that haven't been used yet.Anybody good at/enjoy making maze puzzles? Any suggestions?
