The QDB sounds like it could be a awesome feature but instead it appears to be treated with very little seriousness. I don't even see a single serious question in there. What the heck?
Also it's not the only feature taken seriously… certain users can and do modify other user's MP on a whim. I just joined, but after I jokingly accused a member of being a furry, I found myself with -1337 MP.I joined this site hoping for a more intelligent, mature community than Yoyo Games. So far it seems more intelligent and talented, but it's questionable whether the maturity is much better here. I think some bolts need to be tightened down around here… the site just feels broken. And there doesn't seem to be much intent to fix any of it, either. Minecraft can't really be that addictive, can it?I would've posted this in the QDB, but cannot on account of the -1337 MP.
Negative Leet?
I believe you have -1337 mp because someone believes you are a previously banned member and wanted to have fun with your database record.
This website is so horribly broken, some of us would rather toy with it than actually fix it. It might sound immature, but it's actually pretty mature and funny if you take the actions into context.Well I think more effort should be put into the site… it doesn't seem horribly broken, it just seems like it has a number of loose ends that need tying up.
I don't know who the person who messed with my MP thinks I am, but messing with my MP like that doesn't seem funny to me. Even if it is completely useless right now, except for the fact that having it is a prerequisite for posting questions in the QDB.The QDB is pretty much used as a forum anyway, something that the site lacks (not a big deal though).
Thanks for at least resetting my MP to 0.
The QDB? Hahahahaha
You mean the half-broken implementation of a half-baked idea who's only justification for existence is to fund a half-hearted points system for a fully broken shop that nobody wanted in the first place? Yeah, no idea why we don't take that seriously. You're right… it'd probably better if the QDB and MP didn't exist, rather than be in this state of utter brokenness.
I dunno how easy/hard it'd be for them to simply just remove those features entirely, without breaking other things.64digits is the king of "Doing anything at all breaks features that are completely unrelated", so yeah.
I don't think anyone but Canadonian or FSX really have a right to remove features such as that. I would if I could, and v3 is much better about deleting certain things without ruining everything else.
