Now with map loading

I've created a format for the maps to be stored in and now have map loading for the voxel dungeon crawler.

Now I need to make the map editor.

Map load demostration

A short video showing a map being randomly generated and then that file being loaded by the voxel dungeon craweler.

Maps also will hold data for lights, objects, npcs and events.

@AG - read back a few blogs to find out.

I'm making good progress on the map editor, its simple but should do the job.

Thats good, a grid with decimals sounds a little annoying :P

That would be a lot harder, it still gets converted in-game to a decimal system. But the map is just colorful triangles and rectangles.

I always find tool creation more involving (and more fun) than making the actual game engine.

Your map is not very safe, however. There's black vacuum sucking in innocent civilians!
