I made this.
Like it?If yes, download my Isometric Map Engine when it shows up on the frontpage. Right now, the tile graphics and height are all you edit, but I will expand it. I will also try to make a GUI map editor, because right now, you need to type every value in an array, unless you like the default green flat map.I did it using arrays because I could draw the tiles in a set pattern, similar to a Cartesian plane, but rotated 45 degrees and labeled with a and b, not x and y. You can also save the text from the map data array, so that you, the general public can use this to make and share your own maps. You can also make your own tile graphics, using the template I provided. It would work best if the tile graphics are given a universal identification code, so sharing a map can be done without going through and converting all the ID numbers.Anyway, try it out. I hope to have this in a game. Eventually. I got a school work. And if you use it in one of your games, give me credit. I was late for calc III to make this.EDIT: I'm up to v0.2 already. I gotta rock and a simple map editor built in. Here are new screen shots:Map EditorMap made with editor.
I was totally gonna do this. Oh well.
Yeah. Still gonna do it.Shork, can you please upload a smaller version of this image? It stretches the page a bit too much, and makes it seem like your blog has little content.
Smaller screenshot is small.
@ Kenon - you mean DesertFox was going to do it, with you doing graphics…
