So I had my first test in Organic Chemistry 2, and I think I did ok. One problem was with a Diels-Alder reaction. I did the first step correctly:
However I went too far and didn't realize that the ring on the left was a benzene, I saw the diene on the left and the dienophile on the far right, and thought, a second Diels-Alder reaction would happen, so I made the final product shown here. I even built it with a molecular model kit and it seemed to work. However, benzene will not go through a Diels-Alder, and the ring strain on that central double bond would be tremendous. I'll get partial credit since I had the the correct structure as an intermediate, and I did a bimolecular dehyrdation extra credit problem for 10 bonus points, so it's ok.By the way, did any of you understand any of that?
Good luck,see you in hell!
HAHA! After feeling like i bombed that test, I got a 98%. Suck on that DUDE, with your "see you in hell!"
WHAT THE HELL DID YOU SAY IN YOUR BLOG?!
Seriously, I didn't understand a word of that.Now I feel stupid.
