You heard me, when there is people on IRC there are some pretty epic convos, but unfortunately it seems to be empty and dead most of the time. Don't be afraid no-one in there will bite your hand off…. err besides Onii pehaps. =P
It's been quite awhile since I've blogged on 64Digits, It seems every time I decided to do it I never have enough content to justify posting. =/ However I decided I should be able to make a decent sized blog.As far as Gamemaker goes, it's been quite awhile since I touched it, and now it seems I'm entering the Ancient Civilizations competition. I guess now is as good-a-time as any to get back into it.Without further ado, I give you SCREENSHOTS!!Some outdoor scenes =PAnd a shot to show off my epic lighting engine. So a little technical info first. The lighting engine is rather simple, but it's optimized enough to still achieve a constant 30fps on a 3 year old laptop of mine so in my opinion its good enough :DThe character itself is sprited in parts (torso, arm, head, lower and upper leg, foot) and the animations are saved in arrays, this works well as the character always looks smooth since my scripts automatically 'tween' in between frames. The game is coming along nicely, but, knowing me it won't make it past an engine before I get bored. Expect a WIP soon as that will atleast give me alittle inspiration. Also, about my blogs. XD I deleted them all because I was looking through them not too long ago, and realized just how much of a noob I was back then. By deleting them it feels like a fresh start almost, plus I hadn't blogged in quite awhile anyway so no real loss.~NiCK
Eh. It's lighting. Good effort but it's not really that revolutionary in GM any more =\
