So today I was minding my own business, listening to loud music, eating unhealthy food and just generally enjoying myself. That is until someone who will remain nameless (Rawrspoon) violently blackmailed me into writing this blog. (ok, so perhaps that's a slight exaggeration)
Apparently I haven't blogged since 25th August, well technically I have but ordering people to adopt their seasonal avatars doesn't warrant as a real blog for some reason. In other news, school is finally over. This year has dragged on for far too long and I'm looking forward to staying up into the next morning and sleeping in until I feel like it. Unfortunately I'll probably end up working most of the holidays which kinda ruins my sleeping schedule. >:I did quite well on my exams this year:Maths (Year 11): 94%Information Technology (Year 11): 92%Science: 91%English: 88%Chinese: 78%Yeah, I'm shattered that I missed out on an A in Chinese but I'm dropping it next year anyway so I guess it doesn't really matter.Gaming wise I can't say I've been too involved. Exams and study have been taking up all my free time. :( Having said that, I did buy (download) Guitar Hero World Tour last night. I'm glad I didn't buy it to be honest. Perhaps the game is more fun as a band but attempting to get through the guitar career, whilst quite easy (even on expert) still feels like a chore. When I played GH3 I was looking forward to perhaps 5 or 6 songs, and to be fair there's only about 5 or 6 songs in GHWT that interested me. The difference between to two lies in the songs that I wasn't so enthused about. GH3's songs were all enjoyable to play on guitar, even if I didn't usually listen to the genre or band, I still enjoyed playing the songs. I guess playing GHWT with a full band will change the experience but as a single player game GHWT falls short of my expectationsSpeaking of high expectations, I went to see Quantum of Solace recently. Let me state that while I'm not the biggest Bond fan in the world I did really enjoy Casino Royale and as such I was expecting QoS to follow in a similar fashion, god was I wrong. I'm not sure whether I was disappointed in the movie simply because my expectations were too high or maybe the movie seriously was average. Either way I wasn't impressed and spent the majority of the movie throwing popcorn at a couple of friends who spent the whole time making out.I'll end this blog with a screenshot of what could possibly be my next game, that is if I have the willpower to get past building the basic engine.
yay a blog!
That image made loading this page worth it
I hated Casino Royale. I wanted James Bond to die.
I like your picture. The guy with the top hat reminds me of that guy off xkcd.Woah, those exam results. Uhh… Nah, I bet you studied or something, so you aren't smart. Just responsible.
I hated Casino Royale. I wanna play that game now.He is sad :(
Yeah, I wasn't happy about the difficulty (or rather lack of difficulty) on most of the songs. But, I still had a blast playing it.
