1) Are you smarter then a fifth grader?
I just watched this show. All I could think of was "What the hell?". Those questions are not fifth grade questions! I could understand if one particular class did an in depth study on some of these studies, but some of those questions are just ridiculous. No second graders know that Venus is the brightest planet from Earth. Third graders don't know what a decagon is. Damn, some of those are high school or even higher questions. I think they should put a real fifth grader on this show. The show is dragged out so much that only two or three questions are asked in between commercial breaks. The worst part is the annoying theme though. I would much rather see Who wants to be a Millionaire.2) The moment of truthNow this show just makes me shake my head. All the show consists of is asking people questions while they are hooked up to a lie detector. Questions that could embarrass, or totally mess up their lives. The one episode I saw (before I turned it off) had a guy who apparently is using no money as an excuse to not propose to his girlfriend, and he also apparently makes racist jokes about her family (Asian). This show uses a polygraph (lie detector), which are fairly unreliable. One question asked if this guy stuffed his underwear. He laughed at the question and easily said no. The test said otherwise, and he got pissed. They didn't show it, but the very first thing he did was shout "WHAT?!?!?". This show is based on sensitivity, and ability to remain calm (as to not trigger the test). I would rather read Garfield. So yeah, Fox is really running out of ideas4324 Hits at time of blog
Yeah, they're so stupid… they have some cool ones though, like one about lyrics.
The moment of truth is so stupid though, it's basically saying: "WIN MONEY! *fine print*Warning: your life WILL be messed up*/fine print*"there's also no such thing as a lie detector, if you are a master liar then you'll come out as saying the truth most of the time even when it's a lie.Ive never heard of this lie dectector show, But I hear yea completely on the 5th grade one.
Pfft, I'm sure there are more than two.
Once the writers' strike is over we'll have scripted drawn out crap as an alternative.
Hah, very true. Who Wants To Be A Millionaire was pretty nice over here, but lately, they re-launched the show with much more bizarre and irrevelant questions about politicians or pop stars…
lol@df.
5th grader is easilly the worst thing I've ever watched.Moment of Truth is rigged. They just check the player's personal history and ask questions that theyt are bound to answer the more controversial answer to. It's so fuckin' obvious.
