An Update On Stuff

So yeah.

I was considering asking for a tablet on my birthday (or something), but then I realized my parents were going to buy me a computer for that.

So maybe Christmas or something.

Dropped the comic book after 170 pages, instead opting to novelize it.

Also writing a book about gay people. It's only like two pages in though, sitting at some 600 words so far.

Continuing to compose things?

Stage 2-1 in Lunacy Star Second is about a fourth of the way completed.

Fixed a couple of bugs pertaining to text placement and deathbomb windows.

Oh yeah, you can bomb now. Gear Axis' bomb is this weird purple void thing that swamps the whole screen and deals average damage.

No real progress on the menu yet. I figure I'll implement the Solar Hydra shottype and also the third player when I put it together.

Stay Alive is… well, Umbra won't let up on making me make Stay Alive some sort of linear platforming action game where a GLaDOS-esque AI wants to kill you and you navigate several levels trying to get to it.

Yea or nay? I'm personally against it, because the original Stay Alive did no such thing.

I'm drumming up more ideas for the Ricerca Strano story as well. I'll be sure to upload the relevant comics.

Also, Black and White. Remaking that.

That one metroidvania that no one played when I posted it here.

Trying to better my piano. Gonna sign up for the talent show if I can put together a rendition of my favorite Touhou song, whatever that is.

1) 12.8 Extra Stage Theme "Loose Rain"

2) 11 Final Boss Theme "Solar Sect of Mystic Wisdom ~ Nuclear Fusion"

3) 8 Stage 5 Theme "Cinderella Cage ~ Kagome-Kagome"

4) 6 Extra Boss Theme "U.N. Owen was her?"

One of those.

Will post a video if I manage to put one of the four together.

Um, and I think that's it…

Cyrus, you can expect your timelapse tonight, most definitely.

I think.

I don't believe I've got anything on my schedule tonight.

See me about this.

Record or it didn't happen.

And is that computer a laptop or desktop? I guess either way you're better off. About damn time, too.

See you about novelizing my slap to the face of religions everywhere?

On regards to what…?

Controversial topics are the best.

But I figured a book about homosexuals'd fly better than a book about stem cells or abortion.

I will record it. Why the hell would I go to as much effort without showing it off? :V

I think the computer'll be a laptop, they said. They asked me, "Android tablet now, or actual laptop next year."

As a result, my Christmas haul was, for the first time, under $150 in gifts.

Disregard my car.

You fool, not that kind of tablet. One for drawing. >=[

I've never owned a mobile tablet, or a mobile device (in modern terms) in general. So I can't realize the use of them.

I'm a writer. When I say to see me about novelizing something, I mean for proofreading, editing, suggesting, and reading. I find that sort of thing fun. I don't care what the topic is. I'm writing a book about religious controversy myself.

ALSO I WILL PLAY YOUR SHOOTERS IF YOU PLAY MINE (because I need motivation to finish it).

Taizen Chisou 12 years, 10 months ago

Oh, okay. I'll keep that in mind.

I meant "drawing tablet" at the beginning, and they meant "mobile tablet" down there at the end.

I can play yours during lunch today, which is in three minutes. Link please.

Castypher 12 years, 10 months ago

Not ready to play right now, I meant in the future.

But yeah, like I said, tablets vastly increase your drawing capability. No smudges, ink stains, spills, and definitely none of those pesky crayons. Highly recommend if you're in any way serious about drawing, but it's not very useful if you don't have a computer with which to draw.

Hope it has good enough specs to handle colorful bullets. HOPE YOU GET IT AT ALL.

That's not very original. :P

(Ok, it kind of is.)

Taizen Chisou 12 years, 10 months ago

Well, of course I would :V

There needs to be more bullet hell shmups that I won't feel bad obtaining for free. :P

I don't usually smudge things, it's just that I scratch all of the lines because I'm more comfortable doing that.

And then I stick it in my backpack and they rub all over each other and make a mess.

It better have good enough specs!

My dad is completely aware of the kind of shit I'll expect it to pull >:V

@Juurian

I'm not aiming for originality anyway :D

@Juurian

Well, it's not. But nothing is. Everything's been done before, it's really just how you style and present it, as well as how you give your take on the idea. We all agree medieval fantasy is overdone, yes? But what a lot of people don't get is that fantasy is still a viable genre, it's just that people are doing cookie cutter stuff and not even trying.

Example, people say elves and dwarves are overdone. That's true. But what's even worse is when people have elegant, mysterious, long-lived elves and smithing, mining, angry dwarves. Why not mix things up? Why not make them not always be fighting each other. If you can put even a little twist on things, you can reuse any idea.

I know that's a bit off topic.

JuurianChi 12 years, 10 months ago

Well that was really my way of asking you to elaborate more on the story. I hate it when someone says,

"I'm writing a romance" "I'm making a shooter" "I'm fucking someone behind their boyfriend's back."

I want meat and potatoes because when someone gives lame descriptions like that I'm the only one who doesn't get exited.
