An Update On Stuff

So yeah.

I was considering asking for a tablet on my birthday (or something), but then I realized my parents were going to buy me a computer for that.

So maybe Christmas or something.

Dropped the comic book after 170 pages, instead opting to novelize it.

Also writing a book about gay people. It's only like two pages in though, sitting at some 600 words so far.

Continuing to compose things?

Stage 2-1 in Lunacy Star Second is about a fourth of the way completed.

Fixed a couple of bugs pertaining to text placement and deathbomb windows.

Oh yeah, you can bomb now. Gear Axis' bomb is this weird purple void thing that swamps the whole screen and deals average damage.

No real progress on the menu yet. I figure I'll implement the Solar Hydra shottype and also the third player when I put it together.

Stay Alive is… well, Umbra won't let up on making me make Stay Alive some sort of linear platforming action game where a GLaDOS-esque AI wants to kill you and you navigate several levels trying to get to it.

Yea or nay? I'm personally against it, because the original Stay Alive did no such thing.

I'm drumming up more ideas for the Ricerca Strano story as well. I'll be sure to upload the relevant comics.

Also, Black and White. Remaking that.

That one metroidvania that no one played when I posted it here.

Trying to better my piano. Gonna sign up for the talent show if I can put together a rendition of my favorite Touhou song, whatever that is.

1) 12.8 Extra Stage Theme "Loose Rain"

2) 11 Final Boss Theme "Solar Sect of Mystic Wisdom ~ Nuclear Fusion"

3) 8 Stage 5 Theme "Cinderella Cage ~ Kagome-Kagome"

4) 6 Extra Boss Theme "U.N. Owen was her?"

One of those.

Will post a video if I manage to put one of the four together.

Um, and I think that's it…

Cyrus, you can expect your timelapse tonight, most definitely.

I think.

I don't believe I've got anything on my schedule tonight.

THROW IN SOME DRAGONS AND IT'S A BEST-SELLER.

"Also there are dragons."

IS THERE SOMETHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO TELL US, TAIZEN? But really, nice to see someone who's not a homophobe. And to everyone else, no, getting off to lesbians does not make you any less homophobic.

Since you're not very far in, let me give some advice to use it as a theme instead, and build it upon another concept. Most of my stories have supernatural themes that propel the story, while subplots are defined by the other themes I decide to use. You don't have to do this of course, but Juurian has a point when he says that the story by itself may not be enough. Experiment a little.

but juurian

dragonssssss

although seriously there will not be dragons

I'd put together a more descriptive synopsis but naaaah

I'm not even that far yet

look at it

…about how many pages in an actual book is 933 words..?

JuurianChi 12 years, 10 months ago

I was working on a story a year ago that developed (The Gay romance is what developed) behind two guys who take on their school's gangs and almost overdevelop a citywide Gang war. If you want people to read the story, try to have elements like "Gay People" build upon or be built by something else. (Needless to say the two guys fall in love blahblahblah save the city blahblah.)

Also, LSS screen.

@Kilin

Oh, I got ninja'd and I didn't notice.

:3c

I guess I can use…. some sort of personal development as the theme or something. I've never really been so good at that, actually.

@Juurian

I… don't know how to read this.

What do you mean by "developed behind two guys?"

JuurianChi 12 years, 10 months ago

(The Gay romance is what developed)

Like a teenage Batman/Superman thing.

Eight pages, 2,000 words. Not so bad.

This book will probably not be for children.

Quote:
I turn the page in my packet.

Homework: Fill out this timeline with information about what happened on the following dates.

Me: UUUUGGHHHH

The timeline is more of a time-list and contains well over thirty items.

Claire: you should get a book

Me: nah i'll just do you know absolutely nothing

But I don't do absolutely nothing.

I spend the entire hour thinking about That One Guy.

Lunch today was a pizza and an ice-cream bar. It tasted of as much quality as you'd expect from a cafeteria that has to serve two thousand people, but I ate it anyway.

I was contemplating whether or not a blind man could tell if the pizza had toppings on it from the taste alone (Probably not) when another lady-friend appeared.

The library keeps usage demographics. I imagine that if they didn't have any record of people using the library at all then the school board would ax reading in general. Suddenly I see bulldozers in the hallway and the English department of teachers lying on the floor screaming for high-schooler literacy. I chuckle to myself.

3rd period is my English class.

I flip through The Great Gatsby looking for anything that might interest me, but it's largely some guy talking about assholes in antiquated English.

This guy Tom is a total asshole, and he's a bigoted racist cheater, but he has a wife who likes someone else. And then the Great Gatsby himself is a bootlegging bastard who uses his money to throw extravagant parties in the face of his impoverished friend.

It's a shame that some of these people are SO RELATABLE.

Quote:
Teacher: …Jacob Mason. Are you present?

Me: I am.

Teacher: What's your idea of fun?

Our teacher has a habit of attaching questionnaires to our roll calls so we can all know each other better. Ostensibly, anyway. I suspect it's simply to drag on the amount of time we're doing nothing in particular.

I would have answered her question seriously, but of course it would have something to do with buff guys.

Me: Video games.

Worth noting is that "Mason" is only halfway down on the roll sheet.

Teacher: Very original. Very interesting.

I'm sorry, but I wasn't aware you wanted to know the minutae of gay sex.

Roll ends, finally, and she pulls up a demonstration program that we were supposed to have done about three weeks ago. It's particularly nasty for the people in this class. It requires use of both loops AND if statements.
