So yeah.
I was considering asking for a tablet on my birthday (or something), but then I realized my parents were going to buy me a computer for that.
So maybe Christmas or something.
Dropped the comic book after 170 pages, instead opting to novelize it.
Also writing a book about gay people. It's only like two pages in though, sitting at some 600 words so far.
Continuing to compose things?
Stage 2-1 in Lunacy Star Second is about a fourth of the way completed.

Fixed a couple of bugs pertaining to text placement and deathbomb windows.
Oh yeah, you can bomb now. Gear Axis' bomb is this weird purple void thing that swamps the whole screen and deals average damage.
No real progress on the menu yet. I figure I'll implement the Solar Hydra shottype and also the third player when I put it together.
Stay Alive is… well, Umbra won't let up on making me make Stay Alive some sort of linear platforming action game where a GLaDOS-esque AI wants to kill you and you navigate several levels trying to get to it.
Yea or nay? I'm personally against it, because the original Stay Alive did no such thing.
I'm drumming up more ideas for the Ricerca Strano story as well. I'll be sure to upload the relevant comics.
Also, Black and White. Remaking
that. That one metroidvania that no one played when I posted it here.
Trying to better my piano. Gonna sign up for the talent show if I can put together a rendition of my favorite Touhou song, whatever that is.
1) 12.8 Extra Stage Theme "Loose Rain"
2) 11 Final Boss Theme "Solar Sect of Mystic Wisdom ~ Nuclear Fusion"
3) 8 Stage 5 Theme "Cinderella Cage ~ Kagome-Kagome"
4) 6 Extra Boss Theme "U.N. Owen was her?"
One of those.
Will post a video if I manage to put one of the four together.
Um, and I think that's it…
Cyrus, you can expect your timelapse tonight, most definitely.
I think.
I don't believe I've got anything on my schedule tonight.
yesTaizen, have you considered making it so the gender of the narrator isn't revealed until the very end? (maybe it's better for a short story, but letting the reader make assumptions about the nature of the relationship/identity of the narrator and then pulling the surprise card strikes me as interesting)You don't even know, Rob. Only now is Prop 8 being declared unconstitutional, and you forget that I'm surrounded by Mor
@colseedThat would be fucking hard to tell, honestly, because you'd have to either refer to them by name every time or come up with some other nickname, because pronouns are like, half of a story maaaaaan. But I agree with the idea. Wholeheartedly. Surprises and opportunities for the reader to bond with the character? Always. Also Taizen, I don't agree with your fonts very much. Doesn't seem like those would go well outside a console screen.mons. Apologies if you're actually LDS, I don't really have problems with them, just with the ones who chastise you for not seeing things their way.Occupy Sunday School
@Juurian
wat(going to make a wat img macro and it will be everyone's default response to you :P )@colseed, KilinSorry, I couldn't pull such a thing off given it's planned to be full novel length. Somewhat.Gonna go for some 65,000 words.Interesting idea, though. Might lift it when I post more short stories.(Yes, there are other shorts here.)@KilinI change the fonts every other day.Since LS1 exclusively used the White Rabbit font, I'm really trying not to default to it.I've got something in there called Speculum for the numbers, the weird ones at the bottom of the font list ("wgst_engl" or something no idea) for stage text, and despite the above, White Rabbit headers for stage numbers.Gonna change that though. If you find any that are really good, share them with me and I'll gladly consider it.BLACKCHANCERY
But really, fonts are a big part of games. You could do an outline system (make a script that draws it four times, one at x-1, one at x+1, y-1, and y+1), and that makes it look a lot better. Just experiment a bit.…but…
65,000 words is only like 200 pages65k is normal. Most of my stories are between 75k and 120k.
You've written entire books?
@selflol I guess you could emulate reading my book by reading those couple of excerpts 200 times, it'll be essentially the same
