It's tonight!
What with the fancy dress and dance music and the punch and the decorations, that surely are all meant to secure some amount of nostalgia in your impending future of depression and unemployment? When I ask most adults about their high school experiences, about 20% of their entire story is usually about this one 0.025% of their entire time in high school. And why wouldn't it?I mean, if you're going to party with so many of your friends and classmates and are statistically equally likely to get laid on that night as the rest of the year, what's not to love?Except for the fact that I'm not going. It's a shame, really. Although I totally wanted to be that one eyesore wearing a t-shirt with cutoffs because I couldn't afford any more than the size 16 dress shoes. At least there's plenty of afterparties that I can rock tonight, such as that of my ex-girlfriend. Prom here only ends at midnight, after all!I'll be sure to go next year, it'll be my last chance. Part of me has always wanted to go, boyfriend-less, to a fancy school-sanctioned event and chug fruit punch vodka.
YAY, WE CAN ALL RELATEpart of me shouldn't be surprised y'all didn't enjoy promSkipped my prom, went to the next year's prom. Worth it because my year's prom would've sucked.
Skip prom: Nerd creed +1.
(Un)fortunately, I never even had that choice, because I was born in thewrongright country which doesn't have proms. There's something slightly similar but it doesn't count.I hated Junior Prom, didn't go to Senior.
I went to prom 3 years in a row (sophomore, junior, senior) and I can say the past two sucked but this year's was great because I was with cool people and successfully avoided all my classmates' idiotic drama. i suggest you go to at least one just so you can say you went. If it sucks, whatever, go home and sleep until it's afterparty time.
and don't die in a car accident i love youi didn't get to go to prom… i dropped out too early from being sick. i really wish i could have gone with my friends. :/
i can't believe how many people here skipped theirs. nerds lol.and don't die in a car accident i love youDon't listen to MMORPGguy, Taizen, he's only jokingI was so cool that I went to the prom of a school I never attended, in a city I never lived in, with people I had never met before.
We have something that's like "prom" in the final year of highschool. People talked about it and hyped it up all year and then it happened and it was over and I barely noticed. I was going to skip, but then a friend insisted on setting me up to go with a friend of hers and it seemed rude to decline.
So I went and it was pretty boring, to be honest. You're not missing anything.
