So I've probably made music pieces over a number of different genres. Most of them horribly stupid and awful.
But I digress. There's no getting better without people angrily downvoting everything I do, right? One of those trendy timelapse videos of me composing will be forthcoming.(Bear in mind that I'm only going to post the work that I actually want people to listen to.)I've made some new-ish things in the past while. My favorites out of the newer ones include:https://soundcloud.com/taizenchisou/untitled-song-7https://soundcloud.com/taizenchisou/forest-jade(Forest Jade was made today; Untitled 7 was remastered, as it's from 2010)https://soundcloud.com/taizenchisou/war-zone-v2https://soundcloud.com/taizenchisou/let-us-begin-v2https://soundcloud.com/taizenchisou/untitled-song-30 (on the fence about this one, though)Older pieces that I don't remember if I've shoved in your collective face:https://soundcloud.com/taizenchisou/untitled-song-13https://soundcloud.com/taizenchisou/midi-untitled-song-27https://soundcloud.com/taizenchisou/stage-4-2-renegade-bedtimehttps://soundcloud.com/taizenchisou/neonmetalarenahttps://soundcloud.com/taizenchisou/radicallaserunderworldSo…. tell me what you think! I wanted to get some pointers in before I sit down and begin working on the soundtrack to… a new project.
True, true.
Taizen needs a dedicated platform to work with, fishing around in a FLStudio demo doesn't seem to be helping him. :<Anyway, I encourage you all to try listening to this fresh new monstrosity:
http://soundcloud.com/taizenchisou/the-worst-battle-theme-everThis, following a Wikipedia readthrough on melodies. So shameful. It… is? Did I do it right?
And also, I was looking at the article for a technical definition of the word. I'm still not certain of what I'm doing. I just know that I like how most of it sounds. Like the drum tracks. Making drum tracks is one my favorite things to do when composing, mainly because I play real drums a little and know a bit about them.Look mum! I commented on a soundcloud track!
Oh hey, thanks. (Even though I don't really believe you :D )
NOT HELPING.Taizen, I really don't know what it is you think that makes Touhou music memorable. Every track has some sort of catchy melody that stands out (or at least a combination of them). Though I guess that percussion is generally very unique too. No real patterns, just structured around the mood of the section.Yeah, I'm a rebel because I like to make up the harmony along the way.PARALLEL FIFTHS.That there is your melody.
