Ok, normally I would go as far as to solve a problem like this on my own, but there's one issue with that - I can't.
Here goes.So basically, my computer killed itself about a week ago. Yesterday, I found my recovery disk and reinstalled Windows XP. Everything seemed to be working better than ever. One minor issue - NO FREAKING SOUNDSo, I reinstall the sound drivers from the RealTek website and all that shit over and over again, but nothing clicks. Device Manage shows all my drivers being up and working, but I hear nothing. So I check under Other Drivers, and notice something. Multimedia Audio Controller has a yellow question mark flag over it, and if I try to reinstall it, it says it needs to access the internet(which that computer does not have access to), and quits.I'm almost positive that the MAC is the problem, and if I can get that reinstalled, all will be well.Anyone out there in 64Digits land wanna help a guy out? I wouldn't ask if I knew how to fix it myself.
What do you mean, "turn it on?"
Are you talking about turning my speakers on?o_ONo, go into the computer, pull out the sound card, and find the switch. Turn it from "Epic fail" to "Working."
^^lmao.
Maybe it's time for a new computer.Yeah, the thing is, I can't get into my computer. I tried for like an hour today.
