They CARRY BLOCKS. I've been getting back into Minecraft after holding off for more updates. I'm excited that there are lots of features coming to 1.8, can't wait!

Hmm, I'm party thinking these might have to do with the "npc towns"? That could be really cool. But I still think basic human NPCs would be better than using some monster type thing or zombie pigmen to occupy the town…

Notch said before that non-zombie pigmen might live in villages. He hasn't confirmed thats what will actually happen, but it seems likely.

It would be cool if they spawned in the day time, but only on Grass/Dirt/Sand/Gravel/Other materials like that (but not stone), and in the night time they spawned just like every other hostile mob.

Or maybe they're friendly.

Holes? That'd be plains or homes.

I really hope they don't take doors either, at least iron ones, :P

You know what's pissing me off right now? If you go to the Minecraft Forums page, and click on the link to the official 1.8 post about the mob images, they've included an "enhanced" version of the original, which is just an annoyingly blown up image with the brightness, contrast and saturation cranked up so high that all you see is artifacts on and around the mob that in no way are representative of the texture of the thing. Take a look, you'll know what I mean…

lol it does look like a genuine Slender Man sighting that way.

and i'm surprised how many people are familiar with Slender Man here! since it originated from Alabama everyone here considers it a local phenomenon.

Yeah, it's an internet "meme" by now. If you ever browse /x/ or /b/ you'd come across it sooner or later…
