Yes. It's the moment you and I have been waiting for.

Congratulations to all of the submitters, particularly those who managed to use the submission template. To those who didn't, your inability to fathom the simplest instructions fascinates me.

The games can be downloaded below. If you are a veteran member of 64digits (joined before September 2011) or a successful competitor, you have the opportunity to nominate the prize winners, which is detailed further down.

NOMINATIONS:

If you are an experienced member of 64digits (joined 64digits before the competition) or one of the competitors you can nominate the prize winners.

Send a private message to me entitled "Scary Four Vote" with a list of your four most favourite games, number 1 being your most favourite and number 4 being your 4th favourite , like this:

1. Game1

2. Game2

3. Game3

4. Game4

Send Message

Note you do not have to vote for the scariest, or the best looking, or the best anything. It's entirely up to you how you judge what your "favourites" are.

Once these nominations are collected, there will be a second round of voting for the 4 top entries.

PRIZES:

OK, for those expecting to win $1000 - which toads are you licking? I'm not trying to sell you anything. I gain nothing if you take part (in fact, keep reading, I lose a buck). I won't own anything you make, it's yours. HUNDREDS of people take part in the most famous game comp, Ludum Dare - they don't offer anything at all except the fun of taking part. If you want prizes, give as you wish to receive. If you're in it for the money, you don't deserve anything anyway.

TRICK-OR-TREAT (EVERYONE)

Trick-or-treating is a tradition which promotes greediness, hostility and obese children.

To protest and as a companion to the prizes above, for every successful entrant* I will donate $0.50 $1.00 to UNICEF (up to an undisclosed maximum).

Less candy for those little shits knocking on the door and more food and medicine for the dying.

Now you have no excuse - do it for the children, you cold, heartless bastard.

DO YOU LUDUM-DARE** COMPETE?

*A 'successful entrant' is defined as an entrant who submits a legitimate game within the time limit, gets at least one vote in the preliminary judging and is someone who I determine has actually bothered to make a decent game.

Congratulations to all the entrants! Couldn't get my shit together for this one, but it is definitely inspiring to see such a great turnout.

Cesque 13 years, 1 month ago

Toast, are you still going for the transferable vote idea or did you change it? If you didn't, perhaps you should mention the whole system and round 2 :)

Rez 13 years, 1 month ago

Neat.

I've just played the majority of the games so far, good stuff. A lot of ambiance in these entries, I like that. Now onto the rest. That Darling Springs game looks pretty good. ;)

BP Scraps 13 years, 1 month ago

Whoa, more entries than I thought.

Haven't played any of the others yet, I'm glad I could participate. :)

EDIT: Holy fishcakes Zac, is that a Slender man related game I see there? That's just awesome.

Zac1790 13 years, 1 month ago

Yup, it is :P I'd been telling some friends that I'd eventually make a Slenderman game and this competition was a great opportunity.

But daaanngg these look good - and smell fresh. I can't play until after sleep and work but I can't wait ha

Alert Games 13 years, 1 month ago

Cant fuckin wait to play these games. So many blogs just talking about them till now.

Also, I didnt make one because of too much other shit :(

Deza 13 years, 1 month ago

I hope mine launchers properly for everyone.

Oh, 1/17 done so far. I'll play a few more when I get home.

Acid 13 years, 1 month ago

I AM SO EXCITED. I AM SO EXCITED.

Cesque 13 years, 1 month ago

Someone pin this blog!

Anyway @Cesque how did you get that installer working ?? Just ran it normally? Are you on Vista or something far out like that? ;p

Yeah, no big problems. I'm on Windows 7. But from the looks of it, it's a game designed for mobile phones.

Also, a note to makers of Harrowing Lair (assuming they read it…): is there any chance you can make an .exe for the game, using py2exe or something of the sort? I'm going to feel bad for not playing (and taking your game into account), but to install python32, I'll have to uninstall python64 and all the modules for it, which I absolutely need for my work.
