RPG4D - The Winner

Posted by Toast on Sept. 2, 2012, 3:31 p.m.

THE JUDGING PROCESS:

There were three judges, NAL, twisterghost and marbs, as unfortunately the other four judges, Daniel Remar, Matt Thorson, Cactus and JW, were either too busy or didn't respond in time. Each judge was asked to rank the games. A first place was given 10 points, second place 5 points, third 3 points, fourth 2 points, fifth 1 point. The points were then added up. This is the system I have chosen to use. While I was not personally involved in the judging, this points system is my personal choice. As of posting this blog, this is my final decision.

Anyway. The time has finally come. Approximately 5 months after we were first talking about a super-long RPG-themed competition, we've finally reached the climax. Here it comes…

I don't think any of these are "clones" of anything.

I was being facetious.

Toast 12 years, 2 months ago

@MBlaze smh at this, smh

Charlie Carlo 12 years, 2 months ago

Toast, your neck has to be in pain from the near-constant shaking.

You should take it slow, man.

Also, thank you for hosting this competition and putting so much effort into it.

Also, this comment thread is mostly my comments, I'll see myself out.

Well done Yaru!

Congratulations everyone! And thanks Toast, for setting all this up.

3rd was a clone of Diablo.
I AGREE! I declare that The Twighlight Realm is a blatant rip-off of Diablo, and shall be dishonorably removed from the finalists!

…And since it was removed, I guess I don't have to give out that prize I offered. Aw well, it's the thought that counts, right?

Maybe if Kilin had posted some blogs about the idea process or progress of his game as he was developing it, everyone knows I would have read every last word of the posts, and known this wasn't just some rip off.

PM me, or send me a message on Steam, kilin. Toast said you win $80 of steam games, but in reality, you win two $40 games. If you want $40 worth of something else from some other credible website (doesn't have to be a game) that won't steal my credit card, I can buy you something else instead.

Buy me $40 worth of sex toys to try out on you.

Honestly I think I'm going to be nice and split it evenly with Purianite, especially since it's a separate $40 from each. I'll have to think on it for a while so I don't grab something I play for a few minutes and ditch. Thanks for the donations.

firestormx 12 years, 2 months ago

Oh yeah, I forgot about Purianite.

Kind of. I didn't really forget, but I only thought of teasing you.

twisterghost 12 years, 2 months ago

Congrats to the winners, good stuff in this contest!
