RPG4D - The Winner

Posted by Toast on Sept. 2, 2012, 3:31 p.m.

THE JUDGING PROCESS:

There were three judges, NAL, twisterghost and marbs, as unfortunately the other four judges, Daniel Remar, Matt Thorson, Cactus and JW, were either too busy or didn't respond in time. Each judge was asked to rank the games. A first place was given 10 points, second place 5 points, third 3 points, fourth 2 points, fifth 1 point. The points were then added up. This is the system I have chosen to use. While I was not personally involved in the judging, this points system is my personal choice. As of posting this blog, this is my final decision.

Anyway. The time has finally come. Approximately 5 months after we were first talking about a super-long RPG-themed competition, we've finally reached the climax. Here it comes…

Pirate-rob 12 years, 2 months ago

Congrats to all! (no consolation prises? :D )

marbs 12 years, 2 months ago

Congratulations to the top 5, especially Yaru. Thanks Toast for organising the competition too! I really enjoyed being one of the judges, and playing all these games that had a lot of work put in to.

Yaru 12 years, 2 months ago

Wh… what? I won?! Oh my gosh. I was sure both Twilight Realm and, moreso, Dungeonmen: Men Of Dungeons would beat me.

Now it's really time for waving my arms and humming the FF victory fanfare. ^________^

Congratulations to all winners… and good luck to Toast for getting all the awards to them!

Toast 12 years, 2 months ago

RPG4D winners, we're now basically waiting for kfharlock to see this page and give me his email, and then I can start contacting sponsors/etc.

Yaru 12 years, 2 months ago

The initial post said the winner deadline was in about a month (right? Or was I actually correct previous time when I thought it was this previous weekend?) so it might be up to a month before he checks back. In the worst case.

Toast 12 years, 2 months ago

@Yaru Indeed, that deadline was a mistake, I meant to say 31st of August but instead I said 31st of September. The observant among you would've noticed that that day doesn't even exist.

kfharlock 12 years, 2 months ago

Hey all, sorry for the hold-up. I was offline for a week because of moving across the country. Now I'm back, saw the results (yay), and have contacted Toast with my information. Congrats to everyone who participated, and thanks to the judges for slogging it out through all our games; it couldn't have been easy.
