We are currently making puzzle/point & click game called Paradox. You can find this game from my Showcase. Well, we have team called "Protozoan's Anxiety" and our goal is complete Paradox. We have currently few members:
Me -ProgrammerUssa -Graphic artistVovo -TranslationHowever, the project is currently very slow because Ussa must make all graphics himself and it takes muuuuch time. We have calculated that if we keep current speed, we will finish after 8 months! So we are offering job as a another graphic artist because GFX takes most of time. Graphical style can be either same style than game's current graphics or it can be slightly different because there will be another "world" (sorry can't reveal too much) and it could have different graphic style. Requirements are that you can draw in perspective like current graphics have drawn. This "world" will have five levels which will have several rooms. Ussa makes another "world". Another requirement could be that it would be nice if you wouldn't quit when there is example three rooms left. However, be careful, project might take some time, eventhought don't have to hurry too much. If you are interested, you can PM to me or place example image to this blog.And when we have handled important things, I can talk about something else. I have been thinking, should I buy GM7. Currently I'm not very interested about it but it haves some interesting functions. I don't know will I buy it or not, but it won't happen soon… Is it worth of buying, compared to version 6.1…? Yes, I have illegal 6.1 because I simply couldn't buy it because my parents are frightened when it comes to buying something in internet >_<*In these few days I have only waited when Ussa finishes level 6's graphics and I don't have any little game ideas what to make. I have just played Fire Emblem Sacred Stones and E.V.O Search for Eden and my little sister have been playing Fire Emblem 7. All of those games are great and I hightly recommend to play them. FE's are best strategy games what I have played so far and E.V.O is really fun SNES game with innovative idea. (actually it gave some ideas to my game Evoball).In my life in world called "offline" I have made some school exams, but there haven't happened any interesting things what I could remember. I have tried to get one of those "lucid-dreams" but I can't get them. I wonder why… Well, I think this is enought about this blog. Too long blogs usually repels people away, or so I think.Until next time, see ya!
I can beta test, I beat your released one in a pretty good time.
*With no help*XD
Ever think of using the url= tag?
Paradox was nice,its gameplay is sort of a mutated IF(I prefer creating IF,it's below 1MB)ShadowGate was a good gameHmm, what is IF by the way…? And I was just too lazy or busy to use url tags =P
IF=InteractiveFiction
It uses all text,though in XFER,I use ASCII artIts like the good classics,Zork and ColosalAdventure.The classics' text is poetry,using witty puns at every turn and quirked adjectivesAh yes Serprex. Now I understand what you mean. I can't say that I'm friend of that genre, personally I like more graphical adventures like Paradox and MOTAS.
Too bad,some of it is wonderful.ShadowGate is great to,simply the death quotes are nice.Its always important to use text well in both genres,though more so for IF
Still,graphical requires subtle hints to be hidden and so that alone can be wonderful if done right.Is there an archive of the genre anywhere?
