One week into Scary 4D

This is going way slower than I thought but also scarier. I've got 3 milestones planned that will let me know how close I am to finishing annnnd… I'm not done with the first. But that one is the most difficult because it encompasses the entire engine and framework for the rest of the game, plus content to fill a house and the story events that happen there. If I don't get it done by the end of next week though I'm in trouble. But uh yeah, when that happens, Ima post another blog and esplain what that familiar thing is that this game is about.

I'm not sick anymore! :D

That's always a plus.

Also, GM is very difficult in 3d. You work harder than you would in an engine meant for 3d just to iron out the glitches and it ends up lower quality of course. That said, I still like the ability to change the step argument in the functions for round objects. You don't see that in other places. As long as it comes out acceptable I'm happy for this project. I have higher aspirations for the gameplay and sound though.

So yeah, good luck on making awesome games for the comp!

I don't think you're biased, Toast, you set it off when the time was right and put work and structure into it.

Also, I had to search pretty hard to find a good screenshot op like that :P the engine is still nawt done… and there are definitely plenty of areas that are not nearly as good as that little hallway intersection still. But I'm glad to see you like it.

I'm really wondering about everyone else's progress and direction with this too though

I'm really looking forward to playing everyone's games. A lot of them look pretty interesting.
