Hey! Long time no post. I really need to post more, it's hard to believe it's been a year since my last blog. And well, it's been a crazy year at that. Got a part time job in IT, that's been going well, got contracted to build a website (actually getting paid for once), and I'm going back to school after a long hiatus. This year has had plenty of ups and downs, and there have been days I just want to quit my job and make a damn game instead of put up with the bullshit ya know? But for the most part I think it's good for me, working in IT at least. It has taught me things I might never have learned in school, or even working as a developer. I could do with a little less day to day stress however, which is pretty impossible to avoid in that field.

I wish I had more time to devote to personal projects, but such is life. I guess that's partially why I don't post very often here. I come online and feel bad because I don't do cool things anymore, work has consumed me. And I feel I can't contribute as much anymore, which I know is bullshit. I hope to post more often though, I can already think of a few topics I've been wanting to blog about.

This year I don't have any games to show off. Since my 64DSC entry, I have only worked on one puzzle game (an unfinished port) and started one project that didn't make it far beyond the 'engine' stage. I also started work on a lua library for console based graphics, but didn't thoroughly test or release it. Most of the software I've written this year have been scripts or web related.

I still find time for music, though now I do it to relax moreso than anything. My writing has gotten lazier, and my guitar playing sloppier, but I still enjoy it after a long day. I have a few tracks from the past months that are fairly complete, as well as some unfinished tracks that may be worth posting. I'll do a music blog when I get around to rendering them. In the meantime, I have a fresh render from this week that I think you should hear.

Thanks for tuning in! Until next blog, which should be within the next year, one can only hope…

So much this. I've written who knows how many repair/backup/automation scripts over this past year, web apps for small business, graphics design for printing and such. Even with weekends, I can hardly motivate myself to do anything I actually want to do. Though I still do such things, just at a much slower pace.

I'll listen to your music when I get back from the "office". I somehow borked alsa on my work machine.

EDIT: Listened. YES.

Quite laid back, I like it. Took me a while to figure out what was being said over and over. +1 for the evil laugh.

@hel: Nope. About to start making homebrew NES and SEGA games for small amounts of money on commission. And I'm desperately trying to get Cannonauts into alpha status by the end of September, but times be hard for mah pockets at the moment, so I need to take on new jobs instead. (I currently have $70 in my bank account and a $165 speeding ticket to pay. :P)
