routine_death();

The above is a script-in-progress. All the stuff that happens when you "die" in WinBall, condensed into a nice tasty package. Err, condensed into a nice simple script, rather.

…anyways…..

Aside from screenshots (below), any progress has been slow (I actually only just started working on it again tonight/this morning. It's 4:30 AM, I got things I still needed to do and of course get sleep so I can be rested for work tomorrow. Life is fun. :|

The next thing I'll probably be doing with the game, aside from taking care of the Death Routine (which basically will deduct a life and reset the positions of the paddle and ball, and will actually leave the board in the state it was when you "died" instead of resetting everything completely) will be making sure that paddle resizing works, for when I add the resizing powerups - the paddle needs to properly move without going through the barrier at each size, and of course ball collisions need to be corrected if any corrections are needed - we wouldn't want the ball to move straight up and down, would we? (Something I've barely been able to fix as it is now! lol)

Maybe, maybe not. we'll see once I finally go and release an official demo for you guys! For now, I want to finish getting some more things done with this.

Wha? XD I don't think there's anyway to truly be original at this point with an arkanoid clone, remake, remix, or whatever you want to call it anymore, lmao

@ adamskii97: Maybe it was MegaBall on the amiga? Or DX Ball for the PC?

@ Cyrus: right now it is. Or an attempt to port it. I'll be redoing the HUD and enhancing more graphics, and adding some originals. I also intend to add new features and whatnot. But for now it's basically trying to port and/or re-create megaball on the PC (at the least, to have something to reference before making something completely from scratch).

@Mega: Yeah, it was taken. It was taken 10 years ago for the breakout game on the Amiga. Amazing game. I hope to re-create the magic of that game (IMO) with some new things without the many game-breaking faults many of today's "remakes" give you (i.e. Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver was drop-dead awesome. I want to do that to this game and add several twists and other features.. At least add my own spin on them since it seems it has all been done about 10000x over LOL)
