#64DSC Bancho & Will - Changing Plans

I figured I'd make a note on a problem I came across recently.

Originally, I wanted that slime guy there to wrap around his platform and loop all around it.

This proved to be something I didn't know how to do.

However, in hindsight, he didn't really need to do it, so I just gave him Koopa style 'don't walk off the edge' AI.

I feel this was an adequate compromise, and with that, I'd say the first level is about halfway done. Now I just need to sprite all the furniture and what not, throw in two more enemies, and make the boss, and level 1 will be done!

I just realised, will it be possible to head bop enemies or do you have to use the wisp to attack?

Both work for most enemies. They're parented via the following hierarchy:

Enemy>Koop>Goom

All enemies in the game are one of these, and if they are a lesser one (Goom, for example) they have all the traits of the greater one(s) such as Koop. Goom type enemies can be jumped on, Koop type enemies can be whipped. The Enemy type is just used to determine if they hurt you, the player.

So enemies such as the Rat and Slime are Gooms, which means they can be jumped on OR whipped, if I put in an enemy with a spike on his head or some such thing, he would be Koop type, since I want him to be unharmed if you jump on him.
