I can't do it… i can't finish my project in time so i'm out of the competition. I'm pretty close to finishing it but i know with work i can't complete it with the short amount of days left. I'll still continue to work on it though, probably a little longer than I originally planned. I'm going to add more features to the engine now that i'm giving myself the time.
Also i'll still play all the games entered in the competition, i'm still really looking forward to that so don't disappoint me 64D!
I daresay Death is defiantly definiting you.
h3h3h3h3h3h33 months isn't long to finish up an RPG. I chose to simplify plot, aesthetics and gameplay so that I could finish in time. I've submitted mine as a full game but I'm disappointed with the end result somewhat. Maybe I should have considered building a demo instead. Why don't you release this as a demo. You may get some useful feedback by submitting it and it will promote the final thing.
Aww shit, another person whose finished game I wanted to play dropping out.
(the first one was me)All of these entries being dropped…
I kinda wouldn't mind playing some RPGmaker games now…Dammit. I hate you guys.I'm kind of glad people are having trouble finishing, I was sure my game would be one with the least amount of content, now there's a possibility I'm wrong. Luckily (sort of) my game is an MMORPG styled game, so I can just throw as much in it as I can before the deadline. I'm waiting to see someone with 20+ hours of gameplay from their game, and make me feel terrible about how unfinished my game ends up being.
No game made in three months is going to have 20+ hours of gameplay, and that's a promise.
That is…unless all their content is geared toward keeping the player dead in one place for as long as possible. However, five hours is more believable, though that's a bit on the lengthy side itself. It's funny, really, how sometimes hundreds of hours can go into a game, yet it only comes out with thirty minutes of play time.
