It would be nice to have a minimap or something.
The very first stage was a bit tough, if only because the grass sort of hid where the grey dudes would pop out of.Everything was fine and dandy like lemon candy until I walked into a room in 1-B with two dead guys hanging from the ceiling, when suddenly I heard this noise like something swelling up and getting ready. Having flashbacks to Slender, I broke a speed record for pressing esc. nope.jpg*1000. I'll probably try it again in a second, I'm sure it can't be that bad, right? Right? You know what would be great for a little scare of some sort? Have a giant swelling noise like that that'd make people want to escape for a breather or something, but for that one little sequence alone, every time they press the escape key, instead of exiting to the main menu, a little cackle comes out. Just a thought.Downloading; I must try to find the other weapons this time. :P
I couldn't figure out how to get past the first room.
Might I suggest you don't have enemies that just phase into you to kill you. Shooters like this usually exclusively have other 'shooters.' You don't need to worry about it making sense, nobody's going to question the logic if it's better for gameplay.Well, the reason I didn't beat the first level is because I didn't even know where the enemies were and got attacked by them and didn't know what was going on. That's why I suggested shooter enemies; they don't attempt to populate the same coordinates as the player.
Well i appreciate the comments regardless. Youre the first to say you couldn't "find the enemies" so i'm not so sure what i can do to help that. Currently the enemies cannot get too close to you. They stand at a minimum of 2 pixels away (which is quite large in this resolution) so you can see their full body if your facing them. (however i was thinking of adding one of those directional identifiers when your getting hit from behind)
Also there are plenty of enemies that fire projectiles and such. They're just not in the very first level :PCompletely disregarding other comments first, I'm going to say that I found the second set of levels a lot easier to negotiate (Probably because the weapons were easier to find).
And Death, you should've told me that you were adding such a great boss to the game, I would've made some pounding boss-battle music :3Anyway, as far as issues went, the collision with walls while moving backwards was slightly glitched. Otherwise, I found nothing that hindered being able to finish the game. Good job!
