Ah, yes; I'm not familiar with your mapping vs the original game. It fits the dynamic I'd expect of an up-B move. The only remotely similar one in the original is Bowser's, but he takes a lot of speed hits for his incredible size. In his case, it just comes with being big. Is everybody going to have a B-Up with that big a hit box?

I like this.

I say. Looks like this is coming together rather well. I wish you luck with the eventual months of fiddling around with numbers to make sure everything is in balance.

How many people are working on this with you? I assumed it was just you, but I saw a video a while back where you were at an event and talked about your team, I believe.

You probably already peaked more than a few people's interest but, once you throw some more polish on this, you could probably get financial backing (whether private or via crowdsource like Kickstarter) so you could afford QUALITY help and do this full time up to completion.

Hey, don't forget Link's up-B either! It's exactly the same thing as Sakuya's attack (hit a wide area horizontally).

Gah, you're right. I forgot about Link. I never play as him, and no one ever plays as him against me. In fact, not a whole lot of people play as Bowser, either; I just remembered his because it was the fastest move he had.

Link is incredibly underestimated in Smash 4 (especially after the tweaks in 1.0.4, his aerials are much faster now!). The gale boomerang pushes people around (breaking their combos and taking them by surprise), the up-B has an awesome range for a juggle move, and you have plenty of projectile spam to back up your sword attacks. And you can block ANY projectile just by standing still, including Samus' fully charged shots and ROB's beams.

Add in a counter move and everyone would use Link, constantly.

Palutena is also a lot better with the tweaks, now her wings hit everything they seem to hit visually. I still don't get why she don't use them to fly for some extra mid-air jumps, though. She still lacks a good projectile attack and is a bit too slow for very-high-level gaming, but can hit anything that has a human reaction speed pretty hard.

Woah guys, I took a bit if a haiatus to do a stupid 15 page history essay but now that that's over with, boy was I happy to see that this little entry has garnered so many comments…. Where to start:

@ Yaru, Flight is done with Y, where X lets you double jump (this is remapable), I think it has a lot of possibilities, but me and my bros just don't know how to use it because we don't use characters like Peach, Rob or Pit. I would also love to have this game voice-overed. I am a strict voice director.

@Josh, Sakuya's up B functions kinda like Samus's or Roy's with the huge thrust of velocity, but with an emphasis on the horizontal hitbox which makes her completely open to an upward or downward approach, especially since she just kinda hangs floating there. No people are going to have very different Up-Bs.

@Alert, Thanks man!

@Taizen, yea in addition to me having a dream of making my own Smash game, just the responsibility of Balancing my own fighting game alone has also been a dream in of itself, one I won't take lightly by any stretch of the imagination.

@Acid, it's 3 brothers, but up to this point it has been just me doing everything but the music. Shade will be helping animate another character this week and into December as well as making some better looking stages. Sheet Ghost is working on some music tracks.

@Yaru, Kinda, but Link can change direction during the animation, Sakuya can only decide to go straight up, or up at an angle at the very start and cannot influence movement during the rest of the animation.

@Josh, yea it is like Links in that it comes out fast.

@Yaru, hmm I see…
