Why is FireFox better?

Posted by gtvg on Jan. 5, 2008, 11:04 p.m.

My friend needs some reasons why FireFox is better than IE, or anything else. :) I'm sure you won't have any problems coming up with any.

I have "fixed" my computer! I installed Windows XP Pro and it seems to have worked like magic. Except everything that uses a key is no longer registered (eg. Game Maker 7, Flash, and I don't know what else.)

My start menu is pretty much empty… Now I have to make shortcuts for everything. I backed up my drive on an external hard drive but it didn't work. Nothing was deleted, but like I said, everything is unregistered.

~Game Maker~

So I'm pretty much finished with Game Maker unless soft wrap adds another subscription to my code, so I can unlock game maker. I am going to start using Flash a lot but it is going to take me a while to learn ActionScript and how to use Flash.

I'm kinda disappointed since all of last night my computer was screwed up and the was my last night to stay up really late <_<.

If anyone has a GM7 key they haven't used up, I would appreciate taking a peek at it. =0

Resuming:

Firefox > Internet Explorer

All the reasons have already been stated, although I don't remember it crashing when running other programs (maybe I don't do it too often)

Hmm, I multi task a lot now, and FF hasn't crashed, though it has taken >256Mb of my RAM. Bastard.

Here is my comparison.

Firefox

Customization (Large Modding community)

Conforms to web standards

Safety (Active X can kill you)

Nice interface

Better to wake up to in the morning

IE

There you have it folks. The choice is yours.

If Firefox causes issues, like Jaxx had, use Opera or something. But if it works fine, like it does for me, then it works. I like it because the interface is capable of being pressed down to a single bar, and I get the hots for minimilist interfaces. Also, US government warns against IE because it is that crazy. http://www.internetnews.com/security/article.php/3374931

Besides that, learn to use google with the terms crack and torrent
