Interesting. I read about this a long time ago, and it looks pretty advanced. I might start using it, depending on how much power it has. Mostly I'm looking for a program with transparent .png support, better graphics support (automaticly AA when sprites are rotated, or moving), and finaly; browser support, like Java and Flash. There are also some other things I dislike about GM, but most of it can either be worked around, or you can find a .dll to fix it.

There's my input,

Fuck that. Waste of valuable computer programming time if you ask me. Why the hell would you be wasting your time making games for Xbox, when you can make computer games?

I also have to say this. I like Microsoft WAY more than Sony. Sony cares more about the money, that's why they make their products only compatible with other Sony products. And they allow very little independent influence.

I'm glad to see Microsoft is now helping the independent inviroment. Although he says that you can only make Xbox 360 games with it, he also said you can make Windows games on it free. Also, reading that article only raised my view on Microsoft. I'm anxious to see what comes of this program, and it may bring an entire new level to console gaming.

That's it,

I hate microsoft. At least Sony makes quality products, the least of which is the Playstation. Microsoft is Next Generation crap. Microsoft is only making this to combat the growing independent game making communities and promote their piece of shit hunk of plastic, the Xbox.

Heh, cool, although they're probably only doing this to get more input for the Live Arcade. Hahah.

The PSP is what made me loose my faith in Sony. people had been making independent games for it. Sony only wanted you to play their games on it, so they made an update to completely unallow indepent games on their PSP, ontop of that they made it so you couldn't play their games without the update. When people made a downgrader, alowing you to downgrade you PSP to a version that allows you to play independent games, Sony made a update that destroys all chance of that. And of course, you can't play their games without the update.

Ontop of that, they had to make a new media device of the PSP, the unsucesful UMD, along with a new memory card. So you couldn't use an old memory card from a digital camera and save yourself money. They don't include the PSP to computer wire with the PSP, and it's almost crucial to use the PSP for something usefull besides gaming. Wich brings me to another fact, the spend almost nothing on the gaming portion of the PSP, and mostly on the UMD video part. Who would want to pay MORE for a movie to watch it on a smaller screen? If you want to watch a move in the car or something you can buy a cheap $30 portable DVD player so you can watch your cheaper DVDs on a bigger screen, and have a longer battery life. Not to mention you can also watch your DVDs at home.

But now I'm going waaay of topic. I was just pointing out why I like Microsoft more. But I don't get why you'de say their only making it (XNA) to promote their Xbox to the independent game making community. Even if that was true, so what? It still a program that will help the game making comunity, and add more people to it. I can care less of their motives, your saying it's wrong to promote your company's products?

That's my rant,

Heh. Just don't tell any n00bs of this, or I might have to go grab my pitchfork and torch, and my angry mob. I agree with you about Sony, Coco.

Yeah, coco you really know your facts/stuff 0.0

Maybe Microsoft could do a partnership with GM and convert gml to whatever they are using :P
