Halibutski, has it ever occured to you WHY Microsoft constantly wins out in the market whenever they produce something? Because they make QUALITY PRODUCTS. Don't start spinning shit about windows either, we all know that its by far the best option out of what is available. Their Office package flogs OpenOffice like a dead horse, and the Xbox is both user friendly and fun. Allowing people to share games over the 360 just opens up another avenue for indie developers - now they can produce console games as well as PC games.

And do you seriously think Microsoft is the evil corporation that all those open-source toffs make it out to be? With all of the support they give people, the boundaries they push?

Ah well. I probably won't bother with this thing, but I think its an excellent idea.

Microsoft always has weird hardware issues with their consoles though.

they're only good for a year nowdays, then the new version comes out and yours is completely useless

I think the Wii will change that.

These days I play my DS much more than my GCN.

I heard about this thing this morning, and (whether or not it's the next step to Microsoft controlling the world) I'm willing to use it provided it's easy and not expensive. The $99 pricetag is only for xbox360 development, otherwise it's free… So, there's only ease-of-use to fret about. Unless, of course, you're worried that a Microsoft product might prompt spontaneous combustion.
