Well normally I try to stay away from 64digits from past experiences
But since Jakex is a total genius and I have been encouraged to make a blog post and give it another shotHere goesA lot has happened form my last blog postsI went from the name FreeMiniGames to star light gamesI even bought a domaign learned phpAnd learned how much html and css sucksYou can see the sight and all the lovely gm content athttp://starlg.com.The hardest part about the web site programming was the uploaderand everyone says “it’s just another uploader like HostANetâ€?Ya it does but it’s so damn hard to make the php and MySQL work together. But w/e.Well here’s a question for y’all (shoot me if I ever say that again)I want to learn a new programming language besides php and gmlWhat one should I learn? What one is easier for novices (I can do almost anything in gml)What programming languages are like gml and php?People say peryl and c++ but what do you say
java, c++, perl (pretty much php), ruby, python, lisp
Rusky: It's more like PHP is pretty much PERL.
I'd recommend some Haskell or Smalltalk, but I'm crazy.Ruby's nice, if you don't need your eyes and don't mind gouging them out after reading some source.JAVA = instaphail.C++ is fun.Python is decent, but gets annoying at time.Lisp ain't that bad. Now, you ask me, I think I'll say you should learn D, Haskell, Smalltalk, or something like that. Maybe some brainfuck.I would like something easy keep that in mind
Trust me, nothings easy. Also, go for C++. Like MFA said, it's fun.
easier
similer to gmlEnglish gets a thumbs up in my book, since i r a gud writer!
It depends on why you want to learn a new language in the first place. I like Freebasic. It is fairly easy to get into as well.
Oh and- that is a cool effect on your site!
C#
Must be said, that's a cool effect.
Like objectdock, on my PC. I like that.
