Hey all. Development continues to chug along. The concept still tantalizes me and keeps me developing daily. One thing I've learned: If you really believe in a project you will not get bored!
New archer class in progress, and new tileset (credit to white_noise)
https://github.com/ludamad/lanarts for the codeWindows binary snapshot: https://github.com/downloads/ludamad/lanarts/lanarts_r0v6.zipDevelopment Blog:http://adam-dev-blog.blogspot.ca/Recent changes: - Option to force sync in out of sync games - press F5 and you will essentially send a save file to everyone - F5 to save game/F6 to load game for single-player games -Improved robustness when playing >2 players - Bunch of bug fixes - New archer class - heavily work in progress. Has bow-oriented abilities, such as being able to hit multiple enemies with a single arrow, faster shooting with level-ups, and a spell that only works with a bow. - More tiles, variations for player class tiles - Balance changes as always
New tiles look MUCH better. =D
What are the statue things? I haven't seen those before.Functionally, they're just solid tiles you can see through but cannot walk/shoot through. They're just placed randomly (2-12 per level), they add a nice bit of variation.
Looks pretty nifty. How long you been working on it for?
Damn you Maderick, you stole my word.
This looks… like something I would play.Let me know if you need a beta tester. :DI was confused because I thought this was a blog about Language Arts.Brilliant. And the new tileset looks good.
Does the shooting itself level up or am I just reading this wrong?Maderick: Thanks! I've been working on it since last summer, although development really picked up in pace lately.
Charlie Carlo: I badly need testers. Check out #lanarts on freenode, I'm hoping to get some game related chat going there.JuurianChi: When you level up, you shoot faster.Charlie: You can play it all you want by downloading the "Windows binary snapshot" in the blog. =D
Lol I was just about to ask if this game has a Hardcore mode and then I saw the text. I'll do some testing for it if you wish :)
Maderick: Thanks:) Consider sitting on #lanarts on freenode and commenting while you play. That way I have a centralized log of all feedback (getting some interested developers there now)
@FSX, ah, thanks. See, "windows binary snapshot" is so far over my head, I couldn't even make out a silhouette.
