That's right, the PSone screen and N64 are both crammed into that case. The game cartridge is inserted behind (not in sight).It was powered by this homemade battery (5 AAs taped together in series):
But that battery couldn't sustain the 7.5v output with both N64 and PSone screen attached.I will need to buy a rechargable li-ion battery for this. (will need to be ~7.4v, 5000mAh+, and come with charger).Currently it is powered by the PSone screen power block which I rewired to go in place of where my battery was.Here is a bigger overview showing all the wiring so far (still got plenty more to do! Controller, fan, charger port, headphone jack, AV-out, other player ports…):

So how much smaller is this thing compared to a normal N64, or is it just gaining portability with a portable energy source?

the L button will be replaced by the Z button, and I don't think I will include the L button because hardly any games use it, and also I'm not sure where it'd go.

Oh, well currently it's a little thinner than an N64, but when the battery is added to the back it will probably be thicker. And the L button sucks anyway, though I will add ports to use external controllers instead so then you could use the L button if necessary.
