We had a guest speaker in Church today - Pastor Roubik Hoospianmer, from Iran. And he had a very interesting story to tell.
It seems that about 13 years ago, Mr. Roubik was in the United States recieving some sort of teaching. He had some skill with a guitar, so he asked one of his teachers if he could play a Christian song with it that day. The teacher said no - that religious songs could not be played in school. Roubik said that they were in America, which was a free country; but this teacher ignored him. Now, a week later, it was Halloween. This same teacher decided to do a class that day, and spoke for an hour about Satan. Roubik turned his earlier argument back on him and told him that he shouldn't speak about religion in school - but this teacher said that it was a free country, and proceeded with his talk. After reading that, does this sound like a free country to you? Singing about Jesus is banned from school by a teacher who later teaches about Satan? Onwards…I'm not even going to mention the ridiculous anti-Christian propaganda going down in a topic a ways down the board. In other news, the unmentionable game is approaching demo status.
To put it as my old high school teacher put it, "Your freedom ends where another person's begins" - and some people think that their freedom is bigger and more important than other people's.
Ok, Rob… you are just as foolish out of your blog as in it. Also, I would ask that you restrain completely from bad language. Any further occurance will render your topic deleted.
