Version 0.11 is out. All noted bugs have been fixed; 22 new armor objects have been added; the firing and eating mechanics have been implemented; and there is now a tutorial.

Complete changelist:

1. Added 22 new items, including new breastplates, shoes, and shields.

2. Added eating/drinking mechanic. Fountains can quench your thirst, and meat from monster corpses can satisfy your hunger.

3. Implemented the Firing mechanics. You can now Ready things in your quiver with R; and Fire things (when you have a bow of some sort equipped) with F.

4. Fixed stacked items on stationary objects bug

5. Adjusted # of dropped arrows

6. Greatly increased maximum weight values

7. Made throwing/firing range dependent on strength

8. Fixed bug where you could wear/wield/ready an item at the same time.

9. Adjusted fog of war to make it work better. (See around corners etc.)

10. Fixed dropping items/weight reduction bug.

11. Lumberjack/Miner professions now give correct starting equipment.

12. Thrown/Fired items now do correct damage.

13. Thrown items now correctly show up in 3d camera mode.

14. Added a 10-part tutorial for your first playthrough.

15. Added fountains in the dungeons.

16. Character file now correctly removed on permadeath.

DoC news:

* Fixed interface to allow charging/couching/retreating.

**Charging is a cavalry maneuver which does extra crush damage to enemies while making the charging units vulnerable to couched spearmen.

**Couching is a spearman maneuver wherein the units place their pikes against the ground and let charging cavalry units run into them.

**Retreating is just what it sounds like.

Anyway, battles are turning out to be more fun than I had thought they might be. Lots to do still, though.

* Added Caldera RMS. This map is formed as a ring of mountains and hills surrounding a deep caldera lake. Players will be building and fighting around the lake, which serves as a navigational barrier of sorts.

* Played/bugfixed for an hour straight. Things are looking better - there were only about ten bugs in total.

I still have quite a bit to do on the optimization front, though. By the way, the AI builds nice-looking, functional towns through the second era now.

Edit: And here's an ultra-high-detail picture of the Caldera map.

Volca-noes!

ps: If your retarded, a caldera is a huge caldron shaped Volcano, like the Yellowstone park for example.
