War

The Official Announcement: War.

A turn-based strategy game in the style of Classic Empire/Empire Deluxe, War involves the construction of units, accrual of resources, and capturing of cities. It is fully-3d, turn-based, features a procedurally-generated hex map (which can potentially be AS LARGE as your memory allows, without impacting the framerate), and includes new concepts to update the Empire Deluxe formula, such as spies; terrain degradation/terrain types; multiple city varieties; emergent AI; multiplayer; and constructable buildings.

The production model has been somewhat altered as well; but is still not fixed.

It's called War in order not to interfere with the current copyright holders, Killer Bee Software. Plus, the game is different enough to be its own license…

Full unit list (New units marked with stars):

Cruiser

Submarine

In addition, city types include Economic cities (better production, but limited production types) and Military cities (full production lineup, but less production capability)

Screenshot looks good, what's the blue hex supposed to be?

Change the name…It's way to unoriginal =P

But the screenshot looks amazingly good.

Good luck.

How about add 'hex' to the title in some way?

If you mean the white hexes in the bottom-center, those are ice tiles. The hexes to the upper-left are water tiles.

As for the name: Unoriginal it may be, but

1. It's accurate and

2. There actually isn't a game by that name.

I hold the copyright to that game, and have trademarked the word. Royalties please.
