So i got bored yesterday and started to design a cathedral in autocad. Its coming along well… i expect that i have around 25% of the parts that i need to build the thing (in cad).
so anyway, here is a fully rendered piu from the cathedral, imported from AutoCAD06 to Cinema4dYes, this is what happens when i get bored.[dat=Drawing Stats]Dimentions: 250' by 150' by 120'Polygons: 2,000,000 est. on high quality.Plan to build? Hell no.[/dat]lol i found a reason to use the dat command
other than the poor shadowing on the left side, it's pretty nice
It doesn't have the best shading cuz there's only the one light source. Three point lighting's the best.
Gonna be cool.
ooOOOoo
Heh, neat. I like the nice caustics at the base of the feet.
Nice texture. I've used AutoCad before, one of the earlier versions.
Yeah, i was too lazy to add another light source… it would have taken another 5 minutes to render. And the word you are looking for is radiosity melee master.
I think its pretty awesome.
Nice work.I think he meant caustics. If you look at some of my old blogs, I was experimenting a lot with them. It's where the light reflects off of surfaces like metal and rebounds onto another surface. My early ring is the perfect example.
You have to admit, it does look like a typical light bounce you'd get from a shiny surface, witch can be taken for caustics =0)
Sweet render, and did I read that stat right… What is the poly count??? Cuz I'm not too sure what "est" means there…Is that wood texture one that comes with C4D? If so… I'm friken jealous, the ones that come with TS suck ass. but procedural textures are a big taboo unless for quick renders and such anyway x0p
