Allright, so for the past few weeks my laptop has been running slower then usual… taking more time to do things and running ET and CSS at lower frame rates (40 and 20, resp.) I thought this was normal, and have been telling myself to look through bootup apps and stuff for a while, disabling the crap ones.
So today, I open up IE to helpsomebody on the GMC- and there it is. 4 toolbars- 1 from Nickelodeon Arcade and 3 from random spyware sites. I thought my baby brother could cause no damage, but alas! the mass media presentation of crap games supported by spyware has inbfected his mind. Shizzle.Anyway, i quickly eliminated 3 out of the four toolbars, and the 4th one i completely eradicated after it regenerated each explorer launch. I launched that bitch of a toolbar into cyberspace.Even though i got rid of it, i am no longer letting anybody touch my five computers. nobody. Edit: Lol i forgot to state that 3 of those computers are busted [:P]
Only 5?
I have like… a big closet filled with computers…Violence isn't nice,
You could just block access to IE from the control panel, that would stop anyone from downloading IE-specific spyware (to be more accurate, it would stop IE-specific spyware from doing damage).I got a bunch of crap programs like AOL (which really borders on spyware) preinstalled on my PC by Dell. I only just got some of them off.lol aol + spyware = Weatherbug!
Oh sweet FSM I hate that thing.
But AOL itself was also at one point designed to steal people's intellectual property, specifically the AIM component. Not cool. And that's why I don't use IE unless I need to.
Hahaha. Nice bro.
Fred i HATE IE, it is the worst browser ever (IE7 isnt much better either). but apparently it is a windows component and i dont really want to get rid of it. My brother uses it because its what his school taught him. Hey as long as he doesnt screw up my firefox im fine.
Thats right you kill your brother
IE7 is crapoh and the massive wallet is empty now
