Too obscure for ya²³

Well, since all my past few blogs have been about music, I thought I would do another one :P

So this blog is a tribute to my top Punk bands in order, which is a very hard thing to do.

1. The Sex Pistols

My first favorite Punk band, they literally rocked my socks off with their awesome punk rock style, they also led the way for Punk Rock.

No Feelings

2. The Clash

The great style incorporated with Strummer's awesome voice has led the way for Punk and Rock n' Roll music for years, also these guys know how to put on a fucking performance.

Rock the Casbah

3. Siouxsie and the Banshees

Siouxsie Sioux single handedly started the Post Punk / Gothic movement. Seriously, the band has catchy beats, good singing with a good message.

Israel

4. The Buzzcocks

Buzzcocks, wow they rocked. These guys were the only Punk Rockers not afraid to write about love, they are fucking amazing, it's like the Beatles of Punk.

Even Fallen In Love

5. Crass

These guys are definitive Punk Rock and they deserve to be in the top 5, although they weren't THAT awesome as everyone says, they still rocked Punk.

Banned From the Roxy

6. Elvis Costello

Wow, this guy is my all-time favorite solo artist. He is an awesome singer/songwriter and is still playing today, his career has been epic, even though he's not really the definitive hardcore punk, he rocked up the scene.

Oliver's Army

7. X-Ray Spex

Oy, just let Poly's voice do the talking for this one, hardcore punk chick.

Oh Bondage, Up Yours!

8. The Toy Dolls

These guys are fucking epic. Olga has a masterful punk voice and their songs are awesome.

Nellie the Elephant

9. The Adverts

Gotta Love the Adverts, One Chord Wonders and Gary Gilmore's Eyes, their singles were fucking epic.

Gary Gilmore's Eyes

10. Joy Division

This band was short-lived because Ian Curtis killed himself. Ian was the one thing that made Joy Division 10x better then New Order, but this Post Punk band is excellent, their singles are awesome.

Love Will Tear us Apart

This didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted it to, a lot of bands were equal and I had to make hard choices. Well have fun reading and have a great day. Bye!

I <3 both The Clash and Joy Division (I wouldn't consider the latter punk though).

Psychedelic Rock is the best though.

Woot BackStreetBoys. Speaking of which, where is your list of worst ten? Too many to chose from?

Serprex, I must do that.

Obel, the real thing is better.

Atom, they all are punk, and you have good taste.

George, …high five…? I got nothing.

Aw yeah, The Clash and Costello are great. Haven't listened much to the other bands, but I really liked that song by Siouxsie and the Banshees. X Ray Spex were good too- liked the sax.

Haha, and now I'm watching Nellie the Elephant. That's just awesome.

The Adverts seem kinda poppy. I dunno.

lol Sex Pistols. I'd rather listen to my dog puke to death.

That is, choke to death on his own vomit.

Everything except for that last sentence turned me on.

Sex Pistols are awesome. Your taste in music aint bad sk8, but you seem very close-minded to everything outside your spectrum XD (I get this from our conversations)

I declare Firebird winner of this argument.
