MEAT IS MURDER

Heifer whines could be human cries

Closer comes the screaming knife

This beautiful creature must die

This beautiful creature must die

A death for no reason

And death for no reason is MURDER

And the flesh you so fancifully fry

Is not succulent, tasty or kind

It's death for no reason

And death for no reason is MURDER

And the calf that you carve with a smile

It is MURDER

And the turkey you festively slice

It is MURDER

Do you know how animals die?

Kitchen aromas aren't very homely

It's not "comforting", cheery or kind

It's sizzling blood and the unholy stench

Of MURDER

It's not "natural", "normal" or kind

The flesh you so fancifully fry

The meat in your mouth

As you savour the flavour

Of MURDER

NO, NO, NO, IT'S MURDER

NO, NO, NO, IT'S MURDER

Oh … and who cares about an animals life?

It's not silly logic. What is silly logic is calling it 'murder' to consume other animals.

Can't BOTH be silly logics? Or am I a totally uncool hippie now, for pointing out that "killing animals is okay because their meat is tasty" is a stupid argument?

Killing animals is a multi-million year tradition on this planet. And for the taste of human, try pig. For the taste of snake, try chicken.

Having nutrient deficiencies from lack of meat is natural? Also, humans are omnivores. I don't endorse cramped animal farms though.

War is also a human tradition. I'm starting to think that maybe we need better fucking traditions.

Well, other animals hunt and kill other animals for food, it's part of nature. And people are omnivores so it's in their nature to kill and eat other animals. But I do prefer to eat food that was actually hunted in the wilderness over some shitty pre-packaged meat that came from a domesticated cow that got ripped apart in a slaughterhouse.

Just because a person doesn't eat meat on moral grounds doesn't mean they judge people that do eat meat…

Infanticide is a part of nature, yet even pro-abortion groups know better than to use it as an argument. "What's wrong with killing a child you don't want? Lions do that! Chimpanzees do that! Dolphins do that! Clearly, it's a part of nature…"

Well I agree with Polys statement and your statement (to an extent) Cesque. I was merely pointing out a reason for the majority of the populations behavior. I myself am not a vegetarian, but I understand the mindset behind peoples decision to be vegetarians. You point out something interested Cesque, and perhaps that behavior exhibited by primates reflects that of the more primative-functioning members of our society. (complete neglect of their children, abondoning their children in dumpsters, etc.) But you can't entirely rule out mental-disability/disorder among those humans/primates, so I don't think it's a very good comparison to meat-eaters.
