[l]S[/l][sc]ome of you may or may not remember a product that came out in 2000 called the :CueCat. This was[/sc] basically a personal barcode scanner given away for free by a company named Digital Convergence. This company's goal was to allow people to lookup barcodes/ISBNs/and :CueCodes (their version of a barcode) all from home. If you read an ad that had a :CueCode and scanned it then it will take you to their webpage basically (as well as if you hooked up your TV to computer like they said then your computer would receive an audio signal from the ad that would open a browser window on your computer).
Needless to say the idea was a flop. They went bankrupt and their site shut down shortly after.Currently i am remaking the application that will retrive scanned codes, decrypt and submit them to a website that will present you with data about that product. Its almost ready to be beta tested but to test it you MUST have a :CueCat (you can pick them up for a couple of dollars on eBay). It will also be able to catalog data, such as the CD's you own.-Steve
cue cat was a looong time ago…
oh, lol… but i doubt anybody still has a cue cat…
Well then too bad for them. I know of a couple people already (a topic on GMOT found them [=)]). It will at very least be helpfull to me. If others find it useful then good for them. Its like a $100 product for free (Comparable to normal handheld scanners).
-SteveLoooooooooooooong time ago.
Nooooooooooooooooo Shit.

Oh yeah, SmartTart, I added cool friend code image generation things to my site. [=D]Lol yeah i noticed [=(]. Seems pretty cool, when i have the chance i'll just have to make a better one then you [=D] lol.
-SteveBut then I'll be tempted to make better ones. [=(]
[=(] Oh noes! Wait… Nvm that would mean that we'd have kickass sites lol.
