Slopes… I dislike slopes. No I HATE slopes. I've been trying to work on adding slopes to my engine, but so far everything has been a failure. I even tried a few examples (from the GMC) which also didn't work. Argg…
Other than that the engine has been comming along rather well. I've added in water (along with transparency) and my favorite, alpha values for the depth object. If you saw in my previous entry, I added in a feature were you could only interact with certain objects if they were in your 'depth'. You couldn't tell when you could interact and when you couldn't, so I made the non-interactive objects transparent. It looks pretty cool. Also I fixed a few bugs and added in a cool wind effect using World.Node (covered in the last entry) and even a basic hud. I've also fixed a few basic bugs, not really worth mentioning.Been working on some music, which you can listen to on my Acid Planet account. Just click this fancy little icon!Only one song so far. Life's been treating me rather poorly lately. School's been pretty much hell for the last week (only one more to go though! WOOT!) and I'm tired of it. I've got a pretty good job lined up for the summer, so that's pretty sweet. I've been trying to decide between an iPod (30 gig) or a PSP. Still can't decide yet…Been listening to: Dani California (Red Hot Chili Peppers), What it is to Burn (Finch) and Breathe Life (Killswitch Engage).Oh! And I've seen a trailer for some movie called Scanner Darkly (or something like that). Looked really cool, so I'm gonna have to go see it!
Sucks about the slopes. I tried implementing them into my platformer, but they didn't fit in due to the way my levels are laid out. (although I got them working).
Get the DS AND the harddrive for it. Then it's like a smaller iPod AND a PSP. That's probably what I'm gonna do cuz my current MP3 player's too small. Plus it's taken one hell of a beating.
